The all-important finishing touch.

At Deanswood we know how important soft furnishings are in the design scheme – they are the finishing touches that hold the design together and bring a certain cache to the overall picture the designer is seeking to achieve.

Soft furnishings are also important, in that cushions, throws, runners and bedspreads come into daily contact with homeowners. Therefore, unless soft furnishings are properly put together with quality materials carefully and securely stitched, there can be a tendency to early wear and tear!

Whatever soft furnishings a design scheme requires, from bolsters to Jacquard, tapestry to contemporary cushions, we ensure the same care and attention to ‘making-up’ in all aspects of the business of delivering quality products and services.

Bed Covers
Fitted or throwover lined, interlined, or quilted are among the many options for bedcovers. Please note that fitted bedcovers do not work well over duvets. Interlined bedcovers can be quite heavy, and quilted bedcovers are quite bulky, but they can give that special finishing touch to any bedroom. Quilted options include vermicelli with option of Italian raised cord on the stitching line. If used with a bed valance, it is attractive to leave the bedcover short of the floor to display the valance in a contrasting colour.

‘Any and varied’ are the options here. Plain, piped frilled, fringed, knotted rope, appliqués, square, oblong, round and bolster are just some of those shown in our images. Options on fillings include poultry feather (budget), feather and down, down and feather. All our feather inners are non-allergic but if specified, we can use a polyester fill as well.

We manufacture to any shape or size you care to design. Panelled floor to ceiling headboards are now very popular and our fitters will ensure that these are very securely fixed. As with all our work, these are manufactured to the highest quality standards to perfectly match your creativity.

Bed Valances
Options include gathered, kick pleated and box pleated. An important design point is that a 100mm gusset is included as standard to ensure the bed does not show through on the edges and this can also be piped.
